Hotels

Here is a list of places we stayed in Guatemala:

  • Casa Amelia – Flores – A basic hotel which is clean and right on the water.  Nothing special but a great price and a good nights sleep.
Activities

The trip to Guatemala had only one goal…. El Mirador.

China has so much to offer it is tough to narrow down the things that were amazing.  Here is a short list of things we think you should see while in China:

  • La Donta – the largest pyramid in the world.
  • The stucco sculptures near El Mirador.

Advice and Visa Information

A few parting thoughts:

  • Americans do not need to get a visa in advance in order to enter Guatemala.
  • Use the company we used in order to get the most bang for your buck and make sure that your money is staying local.  They use only local guides and they are VERY knoladgable.
  • Visit the local grocery store.  You can find all sorts of fun snacks to try!
  • Get up early and go see the sunrise!  You won’t regret it!
